Off On the Journey

Today is Sunday July 10th. Our group is busy packing and making sure those suitcases are under the weight limits. Many thanks to all the folks that have helped us prepare for this trip and mission to the people of Honduras!

I will be posting pictures here and on Facebook as we move through the week. Tomorrow will be a full day that starts early for all of us. We will arrive in San Pedro Sula a little before noon in Honduras (they are 2 hours behind us there)and start to work. We have more supplies to buy and get organized for the rest of the week. We will also be visiting one of the shelters that Osman Hope helps with a feeding program. Tuesday we will be in La Lima working with the children there and painting the shelter.

Only 27 more days!

Well we are almost ready to go... As of today, we only have 27 more days to get ready for our journey. We have 13 people that have committed to going on this trip.  It will be a wonderful trip!  Our team is: Mike and Betty O'Neill, Dave Nealy, Perry Crocker, Chris Harpster, Adam Harpster, Beth Dowty, Catlin Stone, Maggie Zeller, Susie Cox, Rebecca Brewer,  Gordon and Sister Brewer.

We have a wonderful and life changing journey ahead!  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  

Deadline for Trip Commitments

It is time for us to start getting some firm commitments for those of you wanting to go this year! The total estimated cost of the trip is about $1600 per person depending on our airline costs. When I checked this week the average ticket price for flights was about $700; so the sooner we can get our reservations made, the more assured we will be in helping people keep costs at a minimum. The total number of people going on the trip does affect the total cost. We need a minimum of 8 people to make the trip; a maximum 15.

What I would like to do is get firm commitments from people by February 15^th so that we can begin making definite plans for the trip.
